How are The Big Push for Midwives board members selected?
How does The Big Push for midwives choose its leaders?

Anyone can sign up to join the PushNation! We need more hands and feet for the pushing as we seek to pass laws to license Certified Professional Midwives in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and Guam.

There are state consumer and midwife groups that are actively working on legislation to license Certified Professional Midwives, and The Big Push provides strategic planning and message development for them, as well as other tools and best practices.

There are several projects that need support including state-level education and advocacy efforts, communications efforts, and fundraising for the PushStates. Future goals are related to increasing access to Certified Professional Midwives, out-of-hospital maternity care, and more birth options for women in America.

As you may know, CPMs provide affordable, quality, community-based care that is proven to reduce costly and preventable interventions as well as the rate of low-birth weight and premature births. Please emil me at [email protected] if you need any additional information. Thank you!
